Ratepayer Assistance Program (RAP)

On February 4, 2025, Friends of San Lorenzo Valley Water (FSLVW) submitted a memo to the Board of Directors urging SLVWD to expand its RAP program as a means to respond to ratepayer concerns about affordability and to forestall another voter initiative such as Measure U in a future election.

Update (3/19/25):

The SLVWD Board has expressed interest in the FSLVW RAP proposal and has indicated that this matter will be referred to the Administrative Committee for further discussion and recommended action. Meanwhile, FSLVW urges members of the public to make their voices heard:

Update (8/21/25):

The SLVWD Board has approved an expansion to the FSLVW RAP along the lines recommended by FSLVW. The monthly RAP rebate has increased to $25 per month (with an additional increase approved for the next fiscal year), and the budget has been increased to allow for 30 additional participants.

NOTE: Renters may be eligible if they make special arrangements with their landlord.
